Scene of the main battle. This is a Federal position. Confederate troops came straight up the hill (just a gentle slope.) The 3rd Georgia position is out of view, far to the left in a gully.
The 3rd Georgia was here at Malvern Hill. They attempted to go up this hill from the gulch and were repeatedly pushed back.
